Photography Paradise is a fictitious Colorado mountain resort geared towards photographers. To promote the brand, I designed a logo and print materials – a rack card, flyer, and business card.

Photography Paradise’s tagline is “Creativity Unleashed.” The resort’s goal is to provide a retreat for photographers where they can escape the daily grind and experience a renewed sense of creative passion. Featuring rustic cabins located in the mountains outside of Denver, the resort puts both nature and city photo ops within photographers’ reach. It also makes studios, gear, and models available to photographers who want to try something new. Additionally, photo galleries are available to provide inspiration
I used light, pastel colors that establish a calm, soothing, serene brand identity. The light blue and green serve as a subtle reminder of the resort’s rustic, outdoor setting.
The script font I used in the logo reflects a sense of the beauty of Colorado’s scenery. The simple serif and sans serif fonts used for the print materials’ main text are simple and easy to read.
The main logo lockup includes the resort’s name in a flowing script font, along with a simple outline of a camera.
For the business card, I included the camera icon part of the logo as a light background element. I positioned the resort’s contact info at the bottom of the business card, on top of green and blue bars, causing it to stand out.
At the top of the resort’s flyer, I featured a large image of someone taking photos that will capture the attention of the resort’s target audience. In the copy, I focused on painting a picture of what a stay at the resort would be like. I emphasized how it caters specifically to photographers, using language photographers could relate to.
In the first paragraph, I provided an overview of how the resort truly is a paradise for those who love photography. The rest of the copy supports this point by highlighting some of the services it offers photographers to support them in unleashing their creativity.
The front of the rack card features much of the same messaging as the flyer, reinforcing important information. The back of it, however, goes into more detail regarding the services the resort provides, allowing viewers to begin to plan their stay.
