Crafted Coffee

For a class assignment, I designed a logo, menu, and flyer promoting Crafted Coffee – a fictitious local coffee I came up with the concept for. I also created a website for the coffee shop.

Crafted Coffee serves, “Artisan Coffee for Self-Proclaimed Coffee Snobs.” The shop caters to customers who care deeply about the quality of their coffee, viewing it as an art form. Crafted Coffee aims to serve high-quality, artisan beverages that will satisfy this target audience.

Branding

The colors and fonts I chose form a clean, modern, straightforward brand identity. This brand identity is suited to a hipster target audience whose main concern is quality. I went with simple, coffee-themed shades of cream and brown for the colors. I choose a serif and sans serif font with plain, modern letterforms, as well.

Logo

For the logo design, I reinforced Crafted Coffee’s clean, modern brand identity by creating a simple coffee cup with the shop’s initials.

Flyer

For the flyer, I featured Crafted Coffee’s logo prominently for easy brand recognition.

The copy begins by clearly identifying the target audience. The rest of the copy focuses on establishing that Crafted Coffee shares that audience’s concern regarding the beverage’s quality. It assures them that if true artisan coffee is what they’re after, Crafted Coffee is the best option.

Menu

The menu follows the simple, clean look established by the logo and the flyer. It presents Crafted Coffee’s beverage and refreshment choices in an easy-to-follow, straightforward manner the shop’s target audience will appreciate.

Web Design

Throughout the website, I used Crafted Coffee’s brand colors of dark brown and beige. I also used the same fonts for consistency’s sake.

For flexibility and customization beyond what is available with the typical WordPress theme, I used Elementor page builder. I also found a plugin that allowed me to create a calendar, through which customers could book a study room in which to work. The plugin integrated well with Elementor. It also had some options I took advantage of to update the look of the calendar so that it matched the rest of the site, as well.
